Priced at 198,000 yen (about $ 1,800), the Otegaru uses both sound absorption and insulation to help block sound. It is made of corrugated cardboard with a soundproofing board and phenolic resin for sound absorption in the middle and lower area. According to the company, it reduces noise by around 15 decibels.

The Otagaru arrives in pieces and it takes about an hour to build. It weighs 50 kg and is almost 2 meters high. It also has a fan, LED light and table and is available in white or brown. It is currently only available in Japan.
