After Nvidia’s disastrous string of GPU launches, those looking to purchase any of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 6000 series are looking for a completely different story. But first, the spec details are fine.
VideoCardz reports that the latest edition of Newegg Insider includes the technical specifications for the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6700 XT. Newegg Insider typically provides consumers with a variety of product information, as well as purchase guides, videos, and other information. While it is entirely possible that these revelations are accurate, their appearance in Newegg Insider does not mean that they are 1
According to the release, the Radeon RX 6900 XT will include 5,120 SPs, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory over a 256-bit memory bus, and a memory bandwidth of 512 Gbps. The Radeon RX 6800 has 3,840 SPs with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory and a maximum memory bandwidth of around 384 Gbit / s. Finally, the Radeon RX 6700 XT will likely include 2,560 SPs and 6GB of GDDR6 memory with the same memory bandwidth as the Radeon RX 6800 XT.
In terms of power rating, the RX 6900 XT, 6800 XT and 6700 XT can be supplied with TDP (Thermal Design Power) power ratings of 300 W, 200 W and 150 W. Newegg Insider also claims the trio come with the same 1,500 MHz base block and 16 Gbps GDDR6 memory chips.
As mentioned earlier, the appearance of this information in Newegg Insider does not mean that these are the final specs. Now, however, you don’t have to wait long to see what AMD has up its sleeve. In a month’s time, AMD will be unveiling its GPUs on October 28th. Then we will know what to expect from each card.
