Amazon has entered into a deal with Apple, in which the technology company Cupertino will sell its products – including iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches – directly to Amazon, according to a report by CNET .
Amazon has already sold Apple products, but these were generally third-party. This means that prices are often variable (and much different from the "official" price Apple sells them for) and that sourcing is not as serious.
Apple products are being introduced to Amazon sites in the US, UK and France Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and India over the next few weeks, including both Apple's devices and those sold under Apple's own Beats brand. The deal does not include every Apple product ̵
In an explanation published by The Verge an Amazon spokesman, "Amazon is constantly working to improve the customer experience. One of the ways to achieve this is to increase the choice of products our customers want. We look forward to expanding our range of Apple and Beats products worldwide.
Under the agreement, only Apple or Apple authorized resellers may sell Apple and Beats devices through the Amazon website. All companies currently selling Apple products on Amazon will be deleting their offers as of January 4th. You must apply to Apple to become an official reseller before they can be sold back to Amazon.
