The Amazon Smart Plug acts as a buffer between the socket and the appliance and allows you to switch the appliance on and off using the Alexa app or the Alexa-enabled smart speaker. The Amazon Smart Plug can be used to turn mobile chargers, lamps, kettles, and other devices on and off. However, it should not be used on heavy equipment such as AC power, geysers, or water heaters. In terms of dimensions, the Amazon Smart Plug is 46 x 71.3 x 37 mm and weighs 104 grams.
How to set up Amazon Smart Plug
To set it up, plug the smart plug into an electrical outlet, open the Alexa app and you should see “New plug found”. Tap on it and complete the setup process. If you don’t see the notification, you can set it up manually. Tap the device icon in the lower right corner of the Alexa app and then tap the ‘+’ icon.
