Respawn has announced plans to update the training mode in the Battle Royale game Apex Legends in the coming weeks to help players test various characters and weapons out of the game. The training mode itself is not new – players will be notified the first time the game starts. However, once the update arrives, you can choose which characters to use and much more.
Apex Legends In training mode, sometimes referred to as a shooting range, players are presented with various firearms and targets. This gives players the ability to test these weapons with near and distant targets, but so far the mode has been quite limited.
During the Apex Devstream on October 11, some respawn crews discussed the game and future plans, including the training mode update. First, players must choose which character to use in the shooting range – this is important as each character has their own abilities.
Players can put their squadmates into training mode, where they have access to all the various bodyguard, riflescope and other firearm attachments, and more. Shield Dumbbells are available for testing weapons and squared targets, as well as different scenarios for different firearms.
The idea is that players are often forced to learn quickly how a new item works during a game, which can cost the team the game. By offering this advanced training mode, players are similar to Fortnite – a place where they can learn the ropes before dealing with enemies.
Respawn does not yet have an exact release date for this updated mode, but is expected to arrive "soon".
