Aquaman 2 Release Date Scheduled for 2022 By Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. Pictures officially returns the audience to the ocean for more adventures with the King of the Seas on the big screen. Aquaman 2 is said to have been published on December 16, 2022.

Aquaman 2 is due to bring back scriptwriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the first movie. However, the return of director James Wan is not confirmed at this point. Aquaman's latest movie is currently the highest grossing movie ever in the WB Cinema universe, based on DC comics superheroes and villains.

According to Deadline, Wan is expected to serve as executive producer for the sequel, but it is not known where the narrative of the movie Aquaman will bring. With the release date of 2022, the sequel will be released in cinemas almost exactly four years after the first film. In early February 2019, the studio announced plans for a spin-off film based on the success of Aquaman titled . The Graben which was to explore the deep-sea region, filled with monstrous creatures that appeared only briefly in the original film. Wan will be executive producer in this film, with Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald writing the screenplay.

Published in US theaters on December 21 . Aquaman set Jason Momoa as a half-Atlantic, half-human hero with the ability to communicate – and in many cases even to command – aquatic organisms. He also has tremendous strength, speed and superhuman resilience. The first film had asked him to challenge his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) for the throne of Atlantis after Orm unites the various underwater kingdoms for a war with the surface world.

The minor cast for Aquaman includes Amber Heard ( Magic Mike XXL ) as Mera, a powerful Atlantean with the ability to sculpt and control water. Other performers include Willem Dafoe ( Platoon ) as Vulko, Aquaman's mentor; Dolph Lundgren ( The Expendables ) as Nereus, king of a mighty underwater kingdom; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II ( The Get Down ) as Black Manta, a mercenary who becomes an enemy of Aquaman; and Nicole Kidman ( The Hours ) as Arthur's mother Atlanna.

Aquaman generated more than $ 1.1 billion in ticket sales worldwide, including $ 332.9 million in US theaters. His domestic ticket sales are the second largest in the studio's superhero cinema universe after Wonder Woman but it's the world leader in the DC Extended Universe in the field of box office.
