AMD is offering buyers of selected Ryzen CPUs a free version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as part of its new “Equipped to Win” bundle.
To get a free copy of the game before its November 10th release, all you need to do is purchase a suitable Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 processor from a retailer that supports the promotion. Qualified processors include the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, 3900XT, 3900X and the Ryzen 7 3800XT, 3800X and 3700X.
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla bundle also applies to all Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9-equipped desktops, as well as laptops that contain one of the fourth generation Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 APUs from AMD ̵
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 3 SKUs are suitable for this bundle.
However, this is likely due to the requirements of the game. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla can be run on computers with an Intel Core i5 4950 or AMD FX 8530 CPU, Ubisoft recommends playing it on a computer with a faster Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 7 processor. You also need at least 12 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon R9 390 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.
AMD’s “Equipped to Win” offer will expire on October 3 and expire at 11:59 PM ET or earlier if AMD runs out of codes. Codes must be redeemed by November 7th.
While it’s a tempting offer for those looking to purchase a Ryzen 3000 CPU, many will no doubt be waiting for the arrival of the next generation Ryzen 4000 processors from AMD.
The CPUs, due to officially go live before the end of the year, are reportedly being run by a 10-core processor that will compete against the Intel Core i9-10900K.
