Chronos: Before the Ashes has possibly the worst video game trailer of all time

Chronos: Before the ashes is a new action RPG by Shooting games (Darksiders III, Remnant: From the Ashes), a 2016 non-VR version of the game that was well received by critics. It’s out this December, however THQ Nordic put together what is probably the worst video game trailer in years for its announcement.

In that sense, the overall ’80s vibe doesn’t fit in the slightest with the game’s art style, and the general direction is less foreign than a very bad cringe feast of generic synthwave, fake 80s fashion, and bedroom games as you imagine it to be from a marketing team with no knowledge of video games.

And then there is “dinner is ready”

; all day. Yikes

As for Chronos: In front of the ashes, here is a description and some screenshots.

Chronos: Before the Ashes is the next release from Gunfire Games, a THQ Nordic studio and developer of Darksiders III and Remnant: From the Ashes. In Chronos, the prequel story of Remnant: From the Ashes, the player takes on the role of a young hero who tries to save his home from an ancient evil. To this end, a chosen one is sent into a mysterious labyrinth that contains both fearsome and mystical creatures, along with challenging puzzles. The fight is unforgiving and brutal – but in Chronos, death is not the end. Every time the hero fails, he is expelled and has to wait a year to return to the maze – you can try again, but a year older. When you start your journey it is still easy to get stronger and faster, but the older you get, the more important your wisdom about the arcane forces becomes.

Chronos: Before the Ashes will be released on December 1, 2020 on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
