The legends have battled time-shifted historical leaders, magical creatures, and the greatest villains of all time – maybe it’s time for them to face a little more heavenly. Now season six from Legends of Tomorrow become see The worst time travelers in history compete against an alien enemy. And they have found their guide.

The last season from Legends of Tomorrow ended up with Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) being blasted away by an unknown assailant. This enemy turned out to be extraterrestrials who are the focus of this final season. T.The legends have never seen anything like it.

To face new enemies, they need new help. As revealed on the DC Fandome panel and reported by Entertainment Weekly, Legends of Tomorrow did Lisseth Chavez (The OA, Chicago PD) as Esparanza “Spooner” Cruz, the newest hero to join the chaotic reality hopping crew of Legends of Tomorrow.

Described on the official blurb as “tough and self-sufficient”, Spooner is a survivor of an alien encounter that set her on a path of defense and paranoia. “Spooner Cruz lives off the net and develops sophisticated technologies for the detection and defense of aliens. And while some call her paranoid, she calls it prepared. “This season, she will help the crew hunt down aliens over time.

Chavez will join a cast full of changes. We saw some beloved characters who left the show last season, mostly Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford) and Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers). We also saw the official exit of OG Zari, played by Tala Ashe, as it was replaced by Zari 2.0. In season six, Sara, Constantine (Matt Ryan), Nate (Nick Zano), Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) return. Both Shayan Sobhian and Olivia Swann were promoted to serial regulars as Behrad and Astra.

Showrunner Phil Klemmer has before uncovered that they plan to include classic aliens from the DC Comics like the Dominators and original aliens that were made just for the show. The goal is for them to be morally less complex than the magical creatures (which means they could being angry right now) which will give us more time with the legends themselves. And under Esperanza Cruz’s guidance, the gang could only have one chance to conquer them.

Legends of Tomorrow will return sometime in mid-season 2021 If the aliens don’t get us first.
