The Disney Plus pricing structure is largely the same everywhere, with monthly and annual subscription levels. Disney Plus costs $ 6.99 per month or $ 69.99 for an annual subscription in the United States. In the United States, there is a monthly Disney Plus package for $ 12.99 with Hulu and ESPN +, which we’ll explain below.

In the UK, Disney Plus costs £ 5.99 a month or £ 59.99 a year. In Australia, Disney Plus costs AU $ 8.99 a month or AU $ 89.99 a year.

In Canada, it’s $ 8.99 a month and $ 89.99 a year. In New Zealand it’s NZ $ 100 a year or NZ $ 10 a month. For Disney Plus in India, the VIP plan for Disney + Hotstar is Rs 399 per year for new users and Rs 1,499 per year for Disney + Hotstar Premium.

Disney Plus in particular is cheaper than Netflix, which is $ 10.99 a month for its standard plan and $ 14.99 for its 4K premium tier. With Disney Plus, you get 4K HDR streams with the flat fee.

So, about this Disney Plus bundle. It includes Disney Plus itself, Hulu (with ads), and ESPN + for just $ 12.99 a month. That’s a lot, because Hulu offers a wide range of adult-friendly shows and films, while ESPN + has loads of sports content. This saves you around $ 5 a month, as Disney Plus costs $ 6.99 a month, Hulu $ 5.99, and ESPN + $ 4.99.

Older Disney Plus films are the lifeblood of the service. You will see many of them in our list of the best Disney Plus films. However, you won’t find adult films in this streaming service because all of Disney Plus’s content is family-friendly.

Disney Plus includes pretty much every Disney animated film you can remember for decades: Snow White, 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid. There is more or less parity in the library in different countries. Depending on where you are, some films may be connected to other services and will be available later on Disney Plus. We have listed the main examples of this above.

Disney Plus also has an almost complete archive of Pixar films and every Star Wars film (currently without a solo in the US). This includes The Rise of Skywalker from 2019.

Every single Marvel Cinematic Universe film runs on Disney Plus, except for those that belong to other studios (the two Tom Holland Spider-Man films and The Incredible Hulk). Disney Plus US also lacks two Marvel films: Ant-Man and The Wasp and Avengers: Infinity War, but that will be fixed soon.

Existing original films on Disney Plus include The Lady and the Tramp, Noelle and Timmy Failure. You can see them now.

On Disney Plus, you can also stream a number of 20th Century Fox films, including James Cameron’s Avatar, The Simpsons Movie, the Home Alone series, and Cheaper by the Dozen.

Disney Plus Shows: Original series and classic shows

The latest Disney Plus originals include the Star Wars television series The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars, which are by far the best reasons to subscribe. A recent series called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian examines the emergence of the Baby Yoda show.

Other originals are the excellent documentary series The Imagineering Story and child-friendly shows such as Diary of a Future President, Zenimation, High School Musical: The Series and the Pixar short series Forky Asks A Question.

There are many nonfiction books to see in Disney Plus, such as Shop Class, Marvels Hero Project, The Big Fib, Disney Family Sundays and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings. As can be expected, much of the programming is aimed at families.

In terms of classic shows, Disney Plus offers fewer older series compared to its film collection. What’s here is mostly animated, like DuckTales, Recess, Gargoyles, Gummy Bears, Goof Troop, TaleSpin, and several Marvel series, including the 90s animation series X-Men and Spider-Man. The big batsman is of course the Simpsons. There are now 30 seasons to stream and The Simpsons Movie. You can also find some other live action shows like Marvel’s Runaways and Boy Meets World.

But what about the future?

The reason to be happy about the future of Disney Plus is the upcoming originals, a series of new Disney Plus shows on a large budget that will work with the characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The highlights for most adult viewers are the upcoming canonical Marvel Cinematic Universe shows with characters from the films, as well as new Star Wars live action shows that focus on popular heroes like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor.

Below is a selection of the best upcoming shows on Disney Plus. Our verdict? Disney Plus is worth it, but mostly if you have children

Disney Plus is a little more special than Netflix and is aimed at fans of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars. It doesn’t contain the adult content or variety that you’ll find on other streaming services, but that’s fine as you will inevitably find something to watch here.

The Disney Plus content archive is amazing, and for Disney fans, that’s enough reason to sign up. If you have children, service is a breeze.

The next year will be crucial for Disney Plus. The initial range of original shows was solid but slow, and many of the best shows come long after the launch. In a few years, with a regular rotation of Star Wars and Marvel shows to enjoy every few months, subscribing will be crucial.
