Do you remember EA’s Rocket Arena? It’s free with Amazon Prime Gaming • Eurogamer.net

Rocket Arena, EA’s colorful multiplayer shooter, kicked off with barely any fizz in July. And what looked like a game that was supposed to be played for free at launch is pretty much there now – it’s free to claim at Amazon Prime Gaming.

Noteworthy: This is the full game for PC on Origin, EA’s digital platform. You won’t get a Steam key.

While the Rocket Arena was well received, it struggled to attract attention in the crowded team-based shooter market, and its premium price fell soon after it launched. According to the Steam Charts, the average number of simultaneous 30-day players in the Rocket Arena is only 71

. No wonder fans struggle to get games.

Now fans are calling on EA to play it for free to increase the player base – some fans believe it is, or Rocket Arena is dead. Maybe it is already. Currently, Rocket Arena is free with an EA Play subscription that costs £ 3.99 per month (EA Play will be available soon for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC). Or you can buy the game for four pounds.

It feels like the Rocket Arena needs some serious refueling to avoid going the Lawbreakers or Battleborn route. It will be interesting to see what EA does with it next.
