Koei Tecmo has revealed Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires.

With the announcement at the Tokyo Game Show, Koei Tecmo confirmed that the strategic combat experience for consoles of the current and next generation – these are PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S – as well as for Nintendo Switch and PC is available via Steam in “early” 2021.

Granted, it’s not much, but here’s a minute-long cinematic teaser:

A Dynasty Warriors mobile game was also announced at the show. Although the details – and the upcoming beta – are currently limited to Japan, the new title appears to be available for both Android and iOS devices.

Fans in Japan have the opportunity to apply for the closed beta between today, September 27th and October 5th, 2020. The beta itself is expected to go live on October 8th and run through October 12th.

“Exhilarating with your smartphone! Shin Ikki Tousen!” says the video description. “The latest in the Shin Sangoku Musou series is being distributed as an app!”
