We have received dozens of messages from people who have just received emails from EB Games stating that yesterday’s SMS and emails sent to customers yesterday to advance them in the PS5 pre-order queue were incorrectly sent were.
It is unclear if everyone who received the email / SMS yesterday is affected by the bug (we believe it doesn’t) but judging by the number of people who contacted us it is definitely a really big part.
We can confirm that this will not affect those whose Xbox Series X pre-orders were brought forward.

Yesterday you mistakenly received a text message and an email that you put in our queue.
We regret to inform you that this is not the case and that your original place in the queue remains. We would like to assure you that you still have a valid pre-order from EB Games.
We understand the extent of the error and we sincerely apologize for the confusion and disappointment we caused you.
