Last week, Tesla boss Elon Musk did not own it – he had to tweet about his electric vehicle company many cars would make it by the end of the year.

The problem? He should not tweet about things that could affect the markets and his listed company. After agreeing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission last year on his now infamous "Tesla private take" tweet, he should not tweet about Tesla without the company's approval.

Now Bloomberg reports that the US Securities and Exchange Commission is asking a judge to hold Musk Tesla is contemptuous of tweeting "will make about 500,000 in 2019."

On the same day of the original tweet a few hours later, Musk changed his comment and made it clear that he had produced an "annualized production rate" based on 10,000 cars per week.

Both tweets are still in his Twitter feed.

We are contacted for further information to the SEC.
