EVGA shows its GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 and FTW3 GPUs – Graphics – News

EVGA graphics card photos

Just before the weekend, Jacob Freeman, Global Product Management Director at EVGA, shared the first photos of the company’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards. The image shared was a side-by-side photo of the upcoming air-cooled triple fan graphics cards EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 and XC3. Freeman answered a number of questions about his tweet if you’d like to follow the link.

The FTW (For The Win) range is a premium line within the EVGA canon. You can see that a triple triple fan cooler with triple 8 pin power connectors is used. This card is about an inch taller than its full height and has a chrome cover that also has RGB lighting. On the subject of size, Freeman confirmed that the GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 will be as long as the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra.

The same circuit board used by the air-cooled RTX 3090 FTW3 will be featured in a number of other high-end RTX 3090 products from EVGA, particularly in some liquid-cooled versions and the upcoming OC card for Kingpin enthusiasts. This circuit board is expected to have a strong VRM area to help enthusiasts get the best performance.

7;s XC models usually back up the offering, and you shouldn’t expect much more than reference watches here. The GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 cooler still comes with triple fans, but it will lack the luxury of the FTW3. You can see that it is a little shorter than its more expensive brother, full size, and it’s also slimmer, a little over 2 slits thick. The price for this XC model should be close to the reference model and, thanks to its two 8-pin power connections and the supporting components with lower specifications under the cover, have a very low OC potential.

GeForce RTX 3070 and 3080 hard launch timings

Just before the weekend, Nvidia released some key updates for enthusiasts patiently waiting to find out the GeForce RTX 3070’s release date and pushed back the RTX 3080 review embargo.

During the GeForce Special Event earlier this month, the RTX 3070’s hard start was described as simple but nebulous as October. Now Nvidia has officially set an availability date: Thursday, May 15th October at 6 a.m. PT (2 p.m. UK).

Unfortunately, the ratings of the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition have been pushed back. We are now facing an NDA date / time of Wednesday, March 16th 6 a.m. PT (2 p.m. UK) On Reddit, an Nvidia employee said the verification delay was “Due to Covid, late shipping and other issues” and that many had requested additional time to complete evaluations of the RTX 3080 Founders Edition.
