Facebook has a wave of new Oculus Quest 2 games

Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 standalone virtual reality headset will arrive on October 13th. Facebook and its VR developer partners saw a number of new games arrive at the same time, and today posted a number of announcements on Facebook Connect.

With the $ 80 Oculus Link cable, the Quest 2 can run games that typically require a Rift headset with a PC. This means that the upcoming Respawn Entertainment: Above and Beyond Medal of Honor will be working on Quest 2. This strategy allows Facebook to provide players with a larger library at launch. Additionally, hundreds of titles are already available on the Oculus Quest, and Quest 2 will play those games as well.

Facebook also announced that Ubisoft is creating new VR titles in the Assassin̵

7;s Creed and Splinter Cell universes. These efforts are led by Ubisoft’s Red Storm in partnership with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Düsseldorf and Ubisoft Mumbai. Facebook manager Mike Verdu said that so far 35 games have generated millions of dollars in revenue from the original Quest. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted hit $ 1 million in just eight days, while Onward made $ 1 million in just four days.

One of the bigger titles in ILMxLab’s work is Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, a collection of light-hearted VR experiences where you can hang out on planet Batuu or go to the cantina on Tatooine. There are more games from Japan on the list as the Oculus Quest 2 will debut there at launch.

New games for Quest 2 include:

Hit Saber x TinyTan BTS Music Pack

South Korean music superstar band BTS will add 12 of their songs to Beat Saber, the popular rhythm track from Beat Games (which Facebook now owns). In a new multiplayer mode, players can learn dance moves and experience the music of BTS together.

Population: one

This claims to be the first major battle royale for VR. The vertical combat system gives players the freedom to attack from almost any direction. Maintaining altitude is the key to this title, which offers unique perspectives compared to other battle royales like Fortnite or Call of Duty: Warzone. This is one of the most highly anticipated titles among hardcore gamers.

Kizuna AI: Touch the beat

You can move your glow sticks to the rhythm and cheer for Kizuna AI (an artificial YouTuber) in a large concert hall. The closer you sync with the music, the closer you will get to the stage and performance of Kizuna AI. You can aim for a high combination to see them up close. Kizuna AI is a virtual being with artificial intelligence. She was created as a virtual influencer and has millions of subscribers on her YouTube channel.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

Saints & Sinners forces you to fight the undead, traverse the flooded ruins of New Orleans and choose you and the other survivors. You compete against hordes of hikers and fight them with weapons, knives, axes or fists.

Little Witch Academia VR

You can ride a magic broomstick in the VR racing game based on the anime Little Witch Academia. Players can fly through more than a dozen missions on a bespoke broom, compete against other students, and purify the spirits of the Luna Nova Witchcraft Academy. You can also explore the grounds with your fellow students in the online multiplayer free flight mode.

Rez Infinite

Rez Infinite is a reworked version of the psychedelic rail shooter adventure Rez released by Sega in 2001. Now, almost 20 years later, a VR-only version for Oculus Quest is aimed at a new generation. You can experience “synesthesia” as you blow through waves of enemies and bosses, with colors and sounds syncing and melting to the beat of Rez’s techno soundtrack.

Room channel 5

May the dance be with you as this classic Sega game comes to VR. In this game you use dance as your power to protect the earth from invading aliens. The main character Ulala takes you through the world of Space Channel 5, where you’ll have to master a series of life-saving dance poses while you tune in to the cool beat. The more poses you strike, the higher your audience ratings will be.

Altdeus: Beyond Chronos

This science fiction novel combines robot battles and pop music. It has a large ramified storyline that puts you in the shoes of Chloe, a human pilot fighting against hostile organisms known as the Meteora. You can chat with other characters and look for clues in the Adventure section. In the mecha combat department, you step into the cockpit of Makhia, the towering humanoid anti-meteora combat weapon.

Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister

Battle Sister is a narrative action shooter in which the player dons the power armor and war gear of Sister Ophelia, an experienced Battle Sister. Ophelia is looking for her lost twin sister.

Sniper Elite VR

You can fight for the Italian Resistance in a daring mission to rescue Sicily from WWII from the threat of the Nazi submarine. It has a first person view, campaign, and extensive motion controls that will make you feel like a sniper. This is one of several shooters that migrated to VR.

Oculus and Crytek are working together to bring The Climb 2 to Quest 2 with features like new maps, difficulty levels, and customizations. You will be holding onto rocks with your controllers and pulling yourself to the top. The first is a visceral experience that can cause dizziness.

Gun whip 2089

This is the first Action Pack for Pistol Whip, one of my favorite games on the Quest that gives you practice shooting figures that run across your screen at breakneck speed. You must survive a plague of killing machines and solve the mystery behind their rebellion. It offers new scenes, weapons, enemies and mechanics. It contains five chapters in a science fiction setting in Cinematic Campaign mode.

Myst

You can return to Myst, an island that is eerily mysterious and offers a beautiful landscape full of intrigue and injustice. Only your mind and imagination have the power to expose the betrayals of yesteryear. Newly developed for Oculus Quest, Myst is a reinterpretation of the original studio of the classic puzzle adventure game with modern art, sound, interactions and optional puzzle randomization.

Jurassic World: Aftermath

This survival VR adventure takes place two years after Jurassic World fell. To survive and escape, you must explore, solve puzzles, and find ways to distract and hide from the ferocious velociraptors that are chasing you.
