Facebook announced a merger with Instagram a few weeks ago, and now Messenger is being tweaked to reflect that. It dropped Messenger’s iconic blue for a shade closer to the multicolored hue you’ll find on Instagram. This covers all of the spots where you’ve found the blue from the standard chat topic to the logo. Facebook has also added new themes including Pride, Love, and Tie-Dye.
Facebook VP of Messenger’s Stan Chudnovsky said:
Every day, 10 million people customize their conversations so we know personalization matters when it comes to how you connect. In addition to our new logo and standard chat color, we are also introducing new chat topics such as: B. Love and Tie and Custom Reactions. Along with new features like selfie stickers and disappearance mode, which will be available soon, making your chats fun and personalized has never been easier.
