You might run out of milk, but if you are one DOOM Fan with a little technical know-how, at least you’ll never run out of demons to kill. A fan brought Bethesda’s first-person shooter with him – and not the old version, but the much-acclaimed one this year DOOM forever – to the video screen of his smart refrigerator.

How is it possible to get planet hopping demons to do a fire dance on your fridge? It’s actually pretty doable, at least when compared to previous hacks that managed to cram a version of DOOM from an ATM to a first-generation iPod to an at-home pregnancy test.

Hey, if you spend minutes idly standing in front of the fridge deciding what to eat anyway, you might as well kill some devils while debating whether you want devilish eggs. This is a facility so convenient that we almost wish the refrigerator doors (and their smart screen area) were bigger … although it would be quite awkward to explain to visitors why we have a chair right in front of ours new ones have fallen down favorite kitchen appliances.
