After this official release of Android 11 At the beginning of this week, Google also has some updates for the stripped down version in stock Android version for phones with lower specifications.
To the Android 11 (Go Edition)The most important upgrade is generally faster performance. Google claims that apps launch 20% faster in Android 11 Go than in Android 10 Go. When it comes to messaging, Android 11 Go also gets its own area for conversations in the notification bar, so you can see all of your ongoing texts in one place regardless of the app.
On top of that, Like Vanilla Android 11, Android 11 Go receives gesture-based navigation from GoogleInstead of a series of buttons at the bottom of the screen, you can swipe up to go home, swipe in from both sides to go back, or swipe up to see your recently used apps.
As digital privacy is becoming more and more important, Google Android 11 Go offers more detailed security settings, including the ability to grant apps one-time access to hardware such as cameras, microphones or GPS. And when it comes to apps that you haven’t used in a long time, Android 11 Go will automatically reset app permissions to keep old settings you probably forgot from encompassing your security.
Perhaps the biggest change for Android 11 Go, however, is that the Go editions of Android were previously limited to phones with 1GB of RAM. However, as smartphone storage becomes cheaper and more accessible, Android 11 Go has been updated to support phones with up to 2GB of RAM. Google claims This change should enable Android 11 Go devices keep three or four more apps running in the background than before.
Android 11 Go phones with 2 GB of RAM also require less storage space for the actual Android installation, freeing up almost a whole gigabyte (900 MB) for other things such as photos, videos and apps.
Android 11 Go should appear on new Go phones soon.
