Ferrari F8 Tributo scores the 488 in Geneva with 710 hp

The Ferrari 488 GTB was introduced in 2015 as a replacement for the 458 Italia. Well, the 488 is being replaced, but Ferrari has changed its nomenclature a bit – with more power.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo was unveiled on Thursday, just seconds before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The successor to the 488 is based on an already outstanding super sports car with more power and a newer, more eye-catching look. It still has a V8, but now it's set to deliver about 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque, 50 hp more than the 488 GTB and about the same as the Limited Edition 488 Pista . that debuted in Geneva last year.

While the middle part of the F8 tribute is not very different from the 488, every other part of the body was once treated seriously. The nose now looks longer and slimmer, with some complicated air ducts in the lower part of the front bumper. At the rear, the car clearly drew inspiration from the larger 81

5 Superfast (19459006). As always, there is a monstrous rear diffuser that surrounds the tailpipes. There is also a new polycarbonate engine cover that pays tribute to the sacred F40.

Hard to believe that the 488 GTB took place only five years ago for the first time

According to Ferrari, the new bodywork helps improve aerodynamic efficiency by 10 percent. At the same time, the car is about 88 pounds lighter than the 488 it replaces, which means the car should seriously seize. According to the automaker, the F8 Tributo will reach 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and continue driving until it reaches the top speed of 211 mph.

The cabin has also been updated quite heavily. Ferrari says the dashboard, door panels and transmission tunnel have all been redesigned to look as exotic as Ferrari's. There is also a new steering wheel that has a smaller diameter than before, but retains Ferrari brackets such as the "Manettino" mode switch and the turn signal buttons that replace the usual stem. To keep passengers on their toes, there's a 7-inch touch screen display that they can deal with.

While Ferrari has not yet given a prize for the F8 Tributo, a 488-GTB makes about $ 250,000 before buying and customizing. Probably buyers will probably spend a lot more.
