Fortnite Season 8, Week 3: Where the magnifying glass is on the treasure map

Epic Games

We are now in the Eighth, Third and Third Weeks of the Fortnite: Battle Royale Challenges. As every week, you should complete them to get through more levels of your Battle Pass. The challenges are not too hard if you know where to go ̵

1; and I've created a few maps so you can find everything quickly.

This week Epic Games threw us a curve ball with a staged challenge that we have not seen before. Instead of sending players to designated locations, we need to visit Biomes to complete various tasks. It's a cool twist on past challenges because you're not limited to a single (and probably crowded) location. I hope that we will see more challenges like this in the future, because it is rough when you know that everyone is in the same place.

If you are not up to the challenges of the past week, go to my Guide for the 2nd week, week 2 .

We have often seen this staged challenge, and it is necessary to visit two areas of the island during a match to complete each phase. There are three levels, and the distance is greater for each level, but here is a map that tells you where to go:

How to Make Stage 1: Destroy Cactus in the Desert

This staged search is something we have not seen before, because it leads you to different biomes on the map and not to designated places. In the first phase you destroy cacti, but in level 2 you are taken to the snowy area to look for ammo crates. Stage 3 takes you to the new jungle area in the northeastern part of the island to search for chests. As the focus on named sites is not concentrated, it should be fairly easy to fill in as you have less chance of seeing other players.

How to Place Different Items for Trap Slots in a Single Game

This should be pretty easy as long as you can find trap items. Try to keep this problem in mind, as you do with other challenges, and set a trap as soon as you get it. You only have to place two traps so it should not be too difficult to complete.

How to locate the magnifying glass on the treasure map loading screen

The treasure map is a level 10 reward on your Battle Pass. So you probably already unlocked them if you face challenges every week. Here is the treasure map, if you do not already have it:

The map is a rough sketch of the island, but if you look closely, you can see that the lock is on Polar Peak, above and to the right of the magnifying glass. All you have to do for this battlestore is to go to the clump of trees southwest of Polar Peak and pack the battlestar right next to a frozen statue. Here it is on the map:

How to Search for Chests at Sunny Steps or Fatal Fields

This is a fairly standard challenge we've seen many times. Just pick a place and find chests. It's up to you where you go, but I'd recommend going to Fatal Fields rather than Sunny Steps for safety, because I think most people want to go to the new place. Better safe than sorry.

How to deal head-on damage to enemies

This challenge is pretty self-explanatory and is likely to be organic while playing. However, be aware that you need 500 head shots to complete it. So it may take some games to get there.

How to Kill a SMG, a Pistol, and a Sniper Rifle

Sharpshooter will probably not have a problem with it, but for the rest of us it will be a challenge. You'll probably get an SMG elimination during the game, but you'll have to concentrate on killing the pistol and the sniper rifle over the course of some games.
