To update: Fortnite servers are secured and the ability to properly log into your account should be restored, according to Epic Games. Previously today, players received error messages upon logging in indicating that they had been banned from Fortnite. The Fortnite status account on Twitter confirmed that this was part of an issue the team was working to resolve.
Original story follows …
Fortnite servers are temporarily down to address a number of login issues that are preventing players from entering the game. Error messages like “You are not authorized to play Fortnite” or “Your account no longer has access to Fortnite” are likely to be seen, but according to the official Fortnite Status account on Twitter, there is nothing to worry about ̵
Players who see “You do not have permission to play Fortnite” or “Your account no longer has access to play Fortnite” as a result of this issue will not be excluded from Fortnite.
