Fossil has developed many Wear OS (Android Wear) smartwatches in the past, which now get another rip. The company today announced the launch of its sport smartwatch. Powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, the new handheld device runs on Google's Wear operating system. The sports smartwatch is available in sizes 41 mm and 43 mm.
The Company has not provided any indication of display size or resolution, but we may find that it has a circular display. It has been confirmed that the Fossil Sport will feature a heart rate monitor and NFC that allow users to make payments with the device.
It even has an integrated GPS in its floating body. The company says the 350mAh battery should last the life of the battery. The Spotify app is preinstalled for anyone who wants to stream music on their smartwatches.
This is one of the first smartwatches to feature the new Qualcomm portable device processor, which promises improvements in performance and energy efficiency. All features that are part of the Wear OS are available in this watch. Fossil will start selling the Sportswatch for $ 255 online today and through its retail stores. The watch is available in six different colors with a variety of straps.
