With the growing popularity of advanced mobile games such as PUBG and Fortnite gaming smartphones are expected to reach as high as 1.8 percent of total smartphone shipments in the Indian market This year's report is on 9 November.
According to CyberMedia Research, gaming smartphones could potentially reach 6.5 percent of the total smartphone market by 2021.
There is a demand for better hardware for advanced mobile gaming. PC gaming makers like Razer and ASUS are attracting attention.
"As Millennials grow into mobile gaming, the gaming smart phone industry will explode with new growth opportunities not only for traditional smartphone vendors, but for newcomers like gaming PC makers.  "This also represents a significant opportunity for mobile gaming development companies to generate new game content," said Amit Sharma, Industry Intelligence Group analyst, CMR, in a statement.
As smartphone gamers offer new gaming smartphones chipset vendors such as Qualcomm and MediaTek also offer new processors such as the Snapdragon 675 or Helio P70, which promise an improved mobile gaming experience.
The gaming smartphones should not only offer all the gaming features, but also the report added to perform all other regular functions, including providing camera experience to users to attract in a highly competitive market.
The report also points to a significant increase in mobile gaming users, whose expectations will be 748 million by 2021.
