Get this 6-in-1 wireless bedside charger for $ 135

Sometimes when engineers put every idea they have into a product it comes out like the car that Homer Simpson designed and that his brother̵

7;s company went bankrupt. But sometimes you get a charming product like the Pitaka Air Omni 6-in-1 wireless charging station. Usually retailed for $ 159, I got an exclusive offer for Cheapskate readers: you can get that Pitaka Air Omni for $ 135 when you apply the discount code AIROMNI11 at checkout.

This charger is ridiculous and fantastic in equal parts. Six devices? Yes, six – three wireless pads and three wired. Let’s assume for a moment that you are an iOS household like me. You can charge your iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and iPhone at the top, and there are two more ports on the side – a USB-C and a USB-A – for, oh, I don’t know, let’s say we have a power bank and a laptop.

But if that’s not crazy enough for you, it’ll get better. The tablet charging port is a combined Lightning and USB connection. You use a mechanical switch to select the one you want. One slips out of the way to make room for the other. That means you can charge any type of tablet, not just an iPad.

There is a similar button that can be used to turn the Apple Watch charger up or down. You can lay your watch flat on the charging pad or, if you prefer, swivel the pad 90 degrees to put the watch in bedside mode. There is another reason to flip up the watch: if it lies flat, your wristband will block the third charging coil, which is designed for a wireless charging earphone case like AirPods. However, everything fits in bedside mode.

Did I mention there is a small lighted drawer that contains rings or other small jewelry? When traveling, the backrest of the tablet can be folded down and folded against the underside of the base.

I have been using this charging station for a few weeks now and I like the way it combines everything I need for charging into a single device. And I love using the oversized iPad display as an alarm clock (I’m using an app called Nightstand) so I can see the time from anywhere in the room. Overall, this is a very cleverly designed device. My only criticism is that the tablet backrest doesn’t snap into place when your tablet is using it. So when you press against the tablet, it tends to fold back a little. Aside from the controversy, you’ll find it hard to find a single charging stand that can power so many devices at the same time and so conveniently.

This offer is valid until August 7th.
