Several Tesco employees are self-isolating after a colleague discovers the coronavirus.
The bakery at Tesco Extra in Shettleston, Glasgow is undergoing a thorough cleaning after the worker tests positive.
Supermarket bosses say “a very small number” of employees on site have been identified as close contacts and directed to self-isolate.
The store remains open and Tesco bosses insist that “comprehensive” security measures are in place to protect employees and customers.

In addition to the regular cleaning procedures, the bakery was also thoroughly cleaned after the employee tested positive.
It is assumed that the employees were informed at this point that their colleague was infected with coronavirus.
A Tesco spokesperson said, “A very small number of colleagues in our Tesco store in Shettleston are self-isolating after a colleague tests positive for Covid-19.
