Google and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City have developed a safer approach. They are introducing a new system that uses two Nest cameras per room for monitoring – one for reviewing and interacting with patients and one for monitoring vital signs. Specially built consoles at nurses allow healthcare workers to monitor their patients and respond to some requests without having to put on safety equipment.
