Google Chrome 77 is now introduced for Android and offers a new feature that lets you send tabs to different devices. With this handy tool (which has been available on a small test basis since July, but is now available to everyone), you no longer have to bother with bookmarks or email URLs to yourself.
To try it out, tap the menu. In Chrome, click Share and choose Send This Page. That way, you can send the current page to any device where you're signed in with your Google Account.
A warning is displayed on the receiving device, including the name of the sharing device, the name of the page, and the icon URL.
It's a welcome addition, but Google is pretty late in the game. Firefox received an almost identical Send Tabs feature in February of this year, which you can see in the following video:
This is not the only novelty feature Available in Chrome 77 for Android – Once you get the update, you'll also see a new, simplified download screen. Google removed the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner that selected various file types (including images, videos, documents, and pages).
Instead, there are a number of buttons at the top of the screen for selecting different file types. This is a small change, but it saves you a few unnecessary clicks and makes the filters more obvious.
There are also several developer-focused changes and some performance enhancements under the hood. For a complete list of all updates, see the Google Change History.
