Google Drive appeared to experience a widespread service disruption on Tuesday. In the United States, people reported outages and other problems.

“We are investigating reports of an issue with Google Drive,” the company said in a message on its G Suite status dashboard posted at 7:29 am PT. “Affected users can access Google Drive, but see error messages, high latency and / or other unexpected behavior.”

According to DownDetector, an outage monitoring website, people reported problems with Google Drive around 6:45 a.m. PT. While some reported receiving error messages, others reported that Google Drive did not load at all.

Those affected also went to Twitter to express frustration at the outage, with some saying it disrupted virtual learning. Many people rely on Google Drive and other services to help with remote work and schooling amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Google didn’t immediately respond to a request for additional information.
