Google Groups is introducing a redesign that includes an improved mobile website

A revision of the Google Groups material design that has been in beta for several months will become standard for all users from next week, the company announced in a blog post. The new user interface, which Google says has several frequently requested features, includes a new mobile design, updated collaboration inboxes, and replacing tags and categories in groups with labels.

The mobile redesign of groups removes the old and surprisingly outdated appearance and brings it closer to the desktop version. It also makes it easy to browse and find groups on mobile devices, manage membership settings, and read group conversations.

Labels allow users to filter and search for messages in a group. Updating the collaboration inboxes that allow teams to use a Google Group as their email list adds filters and quick searches so users in a group can find conversations in a group.

The new Google Groups are available to all G Suite customers and will be launched on September 15th.
