Thankfully, those frustrations could be a thing of the past with the latest development from Google, which Shazam has improved upon with their new Hum-to-Search feature.
With the new feature, available as part of the latest Google application update for iOS and Android, users can now hum, whistle, or sing into their microphone for 10-15 seconds while searching for stray earwigs with the Google app .
Users can access the feature by tapping the microphone in the Google app and clicking the Search For Songs tool, while Google Assistant users can control the app using voice commands.
As you navigate through the song of your choice, you can search through all of the information paired with the song or its associated artist, as well as view lyrics and music videos, and even find alternative recordings.
