Google Pixel 5 announcement set for September 30th

Google’s Pixel 5 event will take place on Wednesday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. PST. In an invitation to press Monday, the company announced it would unveil a new Chromecast, smart speaker, and Pixel phones that Google teased about in August.

The most anticipated announcement will be the Google Pixel 5, which recently appeared in the wild. In addition to the leaked photos of the Pixel 5, specs have also been released for the device, pointing to a device with a 90Hz display, 8GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 765G processor. The Pixel 5 is also expected to come with a dual camera setup. However, according to reports, the device will have a wide-angle lens instead of a secondary telephoto lens. A wide angle lens is great for photographing landscapes, allowing users to capture a lot more scenes.

In addition to the Pixel 5, Google is expected to release more details about the Pixel 4a 5G, which, as the name suggests, supports 5G. Google has already tested the Pixel 4a 5G at a starting price of $ 499. According to rumors, the device will have a larger display compared to the Pixel 4a.

Google is also expected to introduce an Android TV dongle called “Google Chromecast with Google TV”. We gave you an exclusive first look at the device back in June, and it has been a spate of leaks since then. When the device starts, it is expected to be priced at just $ 49.

The smart speaker mentioned in Google’s invitation was broadcast over the FCC in the summer. The speaker appears to be a larger version of the Nest Mini. It’s more elongated in shape – almost like a HomePod – and is said to have larger speaker drivers compared to the original Google Home. In addition to a leak at the FCC, Google shared a photo and video of the mysterious speaker, where two of the devices are paired for a stereo listening experience.
