Google Play has announced the Change the Game Design Challenge, which allows students to submit ideas for original mobile games.
Aude Gandon, Global Brand Director at Google Play, said in a blog post: “Starting today, we are accepting applications for our 2020 Change the Game Design Challenge. And because schools are closed for the year and many of you spend extra time at home, worry we for excitement. “
To apply, students between 13 and 18 can submit their idea for an original mobile game, along with an explanation of why they have a passion for games or what changes they want to see in the gaming industry. The treatments are open from May 1
The program is designed for those who are passionate about their work and are ready to make a difference with their imaginations, said Gandon. Previous knowledge in game development is not required. “If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to create your own game, let us know your idea. If you want to play it, we want to hear it,” said Gandon. The program has been redesigned “to bring your inspiration to life,” added Gandon.
