Honor introduces its first gaming laptop – the Hunter V700

Honor has several laptops in its MagicBook fleet, but today the company added its first slot machine to the mix with the Hunter V700. It has a clean aesthetic for the most part, with an aluminum case and backlit RGB logo, plus rear vents, plus a full-size keyboard and number pad.

The Hunter V700 is available in two versions, both with 10th generation Intel CPUs – namely the Core i5-10300H or the i7-10750H. On the GPU side, you can choose between the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and RTX 2060 graphics cards. Both trims are equipped with 16 GB DDR4 RAM. The storage options vary between a 512 GB or a 1 TB NVMe SSD.

The laptop is based on a matte 16.1-inch IPS LCD with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a slim 4.7 mm bezel. The panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and supports 100% of the sRGB color space. Nahimic 3D Audio is available for better audio output in supported games.

One area in which the Hunter V700 aims to excel is in thermal management thanks to its “Wind Valley” design, which opens the intake ports when the laptop is fully extended and relies on surrounding surfaces to dissipate heat. There are two 12V fans, and Honor claims its laptop can withstand cooler surface temperatures than competing devices.

The I / O consists of an HMDI 2.0, two USB 3.2, a single USB 2.0, an Ethernet port and a combination of headphone jack and power supply. The Hunter V700 is also equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and measures 19.9 mm at its thickest point. The battery comes with 56Wh.

Honor also brings a nice wireless sharing feature that allows users to cast their favorite cell phone games to the laptop and play them with the convenience of a bigger screen, keyboard, and mouse.

The Honor Hunter V700 remains exclusive to China for the time being and there is no word on whether it will ever find its way outside of its home country.

Prices for the Core i5 version with 512GB of storage and GTX 1660 Ti GPU start at CNY 7,499 ($ 1,110 USD). The Core i7 model with RTX 2060 and 512 GB SSD costs 8,499 CNY ($ 1,257), while the top model with 1 TB of storage costs 9,999 CNY (1,480 USD).
