If you are a person who shares your phone with other people a lot, chances are they could mess around with it and uninstall the important apps from your device. Therefore, to stay protected, it is important to take advantage of the security features that Apple offers with iOS.
While iOS has many useful security features, we did notice the option to restrict app uninstallation. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to do the same. So let’s get started.
How to disable app uninstallation on iPhone:
Step 1: Make sure you are running iOS 13 or iOS 14. To start the process, open Settings and go to Screen Time.
Step 2: From the Screen Time menu, choose Content and Privacy Restrictions to continue.
Step 3: Enable the content and privacy restrictions by tapping the button.
Step 4: Once you̵
Step 5: Tap on the Delete Apps option and change it to “Disallow”. This will disable uninstallation of the app from your iPhone.
Check out the screenshots below to see how it’s done.
In the picture above you can see that the option “Delete app” is no longer available. It should be noted, however, that the apps can still be uninstalled if a user switches to screen time and re-enables the option. For added security, you can also use a screen time passcode so that no one can access it. Check out the steps below to see how it’s done.
To set a screen time passcode:
Step 1: Open Settings and go to Screen Time.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap “Use Screen Time Passcode”.
Step 3: Set a 4-digit PIN that you want to use as the on-screen password to continue.
Step 4: Link your Apple ID for password recovery and you are done. You can skip this step as well, but we do not recommend doing so as it can cause problems if you forget your passcode.
