The short answer? Yes, at least in most cases you can connect Apple AirPods to a Windows PC. Before proceeding with the AirPods, you should make sure that your PC has Bluetooth functions. There is some good and bad news here. The good news is that Bluetooth is a widespread technology these days and it is fairly easy to determine whether your computer has it or not. The bad news is, if the PC doesn't, this is the end of the line.
To find out if your PC has Bluetooth, right-click the Windows Start button and locate Device Manager. If the device list contains a Bluetooth entry, congratulations! You have Bluetooth and can continue with the rest of this process. If it doesn't, you probably don't have a Bluetooth feature.
If it turns out that there is no Bluetooth function integrated in your PC, there are a few alternatives. A Bluetooth adapter would be the cheapest option. However, there are other ways to give your computer better audio. There are a number of speakers optimized for computer optimization that are designed to bring a bigger sound to your PC. Or you can opt for other headphones, possibly a wired option that bypasses the need for Bluetooth.
