Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor has long been a staple for modern Android phones (and was recently re-extended to Windows PCs ). On Tuesday, we'll take a first look at the next generation of the chipset. The new flagship chip is expected to be called the Snapdragon 865 and is likely to provide some speed and efficiency improvements, but the true story could be how it deals with 5G.

In addition to the processors, Qualcomm is responsible for making the most modems that connect phones, tablets, and computers to mobile networks. This could very well include Apple's upcoming iPhones ($ 815 on Amazon) thanks to a agreement that the two companies had made after a long lawsuit earlier this year.

Since 5G finally launches and next year will be reckoned with new chips for all 5G variants, 2020 should be a big year for faster devices, regardless of your platform, and this might be our Look Look first at what awaits you. So you can follow the opening speech of Tuesday in Maui.
