      Huawei is one of the OEMs with the most image filters, and depending on your personal preferences, you may or may not like the style. What we do know is that filtering images sometimes results in loss of detail. It does not appear on every photo, but it's definitely a style you should know.

      For example, if you eat foods with red meat, it is not uncommon for meat to be over-processed (no pun intended) and appear strangely red.

      First of all, you can see that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has made significant changes in brightness, color and the mood of the scene has made. The yellow illumination tint has turned into a whiter lighting (streetlights have a yellow tint in the scene).

      The Galaxy Note 9 is also not perfect, but it is a bit more faithful (brighter) when the scene is recorded with warmer colors as there is in the scene. Keep in mind that brighter light is not always better when shooting with low light. However, some additional brightness values ​​may be more pleasant for mobile phone users, so this is to be expected. Simply adjusting the color on the Note 9 photo would bring us closer to a natural state.

      If you take a closer look, you can see that the Mate 20 Pro is not right despite capturing many details in a challenging scene. It is quite possible to preserve the natural color of the scene. This is one of the hardest things to achieve for a smartphone because the sensor is (relatively) small and the light is so short.

      In low light, the Galaxy Note still shows a significant difference to the competition. When you look at the photos up close, the data quality is visibly higher, whether it's color preservation, noise, or detail.

The Mate 20 Pro makes further changes to the brightness of the image, but it is possible to restore it to a natural setting by simply changing the color levels.

      The Mate 20 Pro, however, used a contrast filter that did the lighting. The lighting is slightly harder than the scene, and this change can not be easily undone. For reference, I'll show you the scene taken with a cheaper phone, the Honor View 10. As you can see, the camera sensor on the View 10 fights with the natural color of the scene and, of course, is inferior in every respect to the camera phones of the highest class.
