Increase a glass to these 6 whiskeys under $ 100

You can’t go wrong with a nice bottle of whiskey. In the immortal words of crime writer Raymond Chandler: “There is no such thing as bad whiskey. There are only some whiskeys that are not as good as others. “

When you buy whiskey, you get what you pay for. The more money you want to spend, the more rewards you will get. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a big drop at a cheaper price. We’ve compiled a list of six great options that would make for some nice drama – and you can pick them all up for less than $ 100 a bottle.

Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured Highland Single Malt ...

If you love a great tasting whiskey, can I recommend buying a bottle of Aberlours 12 year old Double Cask Single Malt? Put simply, this is one of the best Speyside single malts money can buy.

This bottle of Aberlour whiskey is aged in both traditional oak and sherry barrels and is aged for 12 years. It contains flavors of sweet fruits and toasted oak. It’s a good dram if your taste buds prefer sweeter things. If you’re someone who likes a smokier whiskey, you probably won’t get much from it.

12 year old Highland Park is a great option if you are looking for a good, but affordable, single malt in the market. A smooth and balanced whiskey with a stunning gold color.

This Highland Park whiskey is quite aromatic with clear floral and honey notes. On the palate, it has a syrupy sweetness that combines with fruity flavors and subtle smokiness. It’s a good bottle if you want a sassy dram every now and then.

One of the most famous scotch whiskeys out there. Johnnie Walker’s Green Label, in particular, is a great option if you want to get the most bang for your buck. It’s also a surefire thing if you don’t like that much whiskey but figuratively try to dip your toe in it.

It is a mixed malt that combines malt whiskeys from different distilleries. Given that Johnnie Walker has access to some of the best distilleries in all of Scotland, these blended malts are nothing short of top notch. Green Label is also 15 years old and does not contain any grain whiskey.

Personally, I am a huge fan of Japanese whiskeys. You are my first port of call when I want to grab a new bottle. I happened upon a bottle of Nikkas From The Barrel and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.

From The Barrel is a blended whiskey that is both rich and full bodied. It smells of spices and fresh fruits with floral notes; and has a smoky, creamy caramel-vanilla taste with a hint of oak.

If you are someone new to drinking your whiskeys properly I would recommend diluting them a little before drinking them. The high alcohol content (51.4%) is really impressive.

If you want locally made whiskey, Starward Two-Fold Double Grain is a pretty solid option. It is made from a combination of Australian barley malt (40%) and wheat (60%) that are separately distilled and aged in Australian red wine barrels.

The end result is a whiskey with an aroma of sweet berries, toasted toast, and vanilla and a strong flavor that enhances these notes. From opening the bottle to completing another glass, it is a pleasure to drink.

If your looking for Japanese whiskeys and don’t want to break the bank, you can’t go wrong with a bottle of Suntory.

The legendary Japanese brand’s Toki is a blended whiskey made from whiskeys from three Suntory Japanese distilleries: malt from Yamazaki and Hakushu, with grain from Chita. Suntorys Toki has a fruity aroma with a nice light, soft, fruity taste. It’s a good choice for a highball.
