LineageOS is the most popular custom ROM for Android devices, bringing new versions of the operating system to phones and tablets that are no longer supported. The Pixel lineup was largely ignored by the project outside of the original models, but now almost every phone made by Google is getting official builds of LineageOS.
LineageOS 17.1, based on Android 10, arrived on the original Pixel and Pixel XL earlier this year. After a handful of builds based on Android 9 Pie have been released, Pixel 2 (Zander) and Pixel 2 XL (Taimen) are now also supported under LineageOS 17.1. The Pixel 3 (blueline), Pixel 3 XL (hatching), Pixel 4 (flame), Pixel 4 XL (coral) and Pixel 3a (Sargo) have also been added to the official list in the last few days.
This leaves the Pixel 3a XL and Pixel 4a the only remaining devices that don’t have official lineage support. There is already a wiki page for the 3a XL added to the build target list, but downloads are not live yet.
Regardless, G7 Play (Channel) and G7 Power (Ocean) have also been added to the list of LineageOS 17.1 devices. It’s always nice to see more budget devices on the list.
Downloads live for most devices
This article has been updated to take into account that downloadable images are now available for every supported Pixel phone except the 3a XL.
