The tiny Luna display adapter is connected to your Mac via a USB-C port (newer Macs) or a Mini DisplayPort (older Macs) and then connects an "iPad" or a in conjunction with the Luna display software Transfer another Mac over WiFi to your primary Mac and breathe new life into old iPads and Macs.

At $ 80, the Luna display differs from Apple's built-in sidecar functionality with Mac-to-Mac support, which Sidecar can't. Luna Display also works with older iPads, making it a more versatile option.
In Mac-to-Mac mode, the primary Mac requires macOS El Capitan or higher, while the secondary Mac requires MacOS Mountain Lion or higher. Therefore, this feature works with some computers that are a bit older.  For best performance, the main Mac should be a 2012 MacBook Air or higher, a 2012 MacBook Pro or higher, a 2012 Mac mini or higher, a 2012 iMac or higher, or a 2013 Mac Pro or higher.

Luna Display also works with almost all modern iPads and offers extended support for the functions available with Apple's "Sidecar". Luna Display is compatible with the iPad 2 or higher, all iPad Mini models, all iPad Pro models and all iPad Air models, with iOS 9.1 or higher being the only requirement. Performance is faster on newer iPads, but older models also work well.
