Mass Effect Legendary Edition was rated in South Korea

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a possible remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy forever, and it seems like it’s closer than we think. As Gematsu reports, the Korean Game Rating and Management Committee has released an unannounced Mass Effect Legendary rated edition.

Just last month, a Portuguese retailer listed the Mass Effect Trilogy for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, but nothing has been released since listing.

November 7th marks N7 Day, when BioWare celebrates the rich Mass Effect history with fans of the series. In general, it contains announcements and updates of upcoming projects for the Mass Effect franchise.

Last year’s N7 day was a little overwhelming, adding Mass Effect-themed emotes to the wriggling anthem – just months before the BioWare team started building it from scratch based on negative criticism and fan feedback. After Mass Effect Andromeda’s disappointing start, fans have been asking for a new entry on the series. While BioWare is currently working on Dragon Age 4, rumors circulated late last year that a new entry in the Mass Effect franchise was in early development.

In an interview with Mark Darrah, Executive Producer of BioWare, he reiterated that they “definitely aren’t done with Mass Effect” and said, “There are many stories to tell.”

While we’re unlikely to see a new proper Mass Effect game anytime soon, in the meantime we’ll happily settle for this remastered trilogy.
