NBA Playoffs: How To Get Lakers Vs. Tonight Rockets sees on TNT

The NBA season that was already marked by the upheaval of playing in a bubble at Disney World because of the Coronavirus, took an abrupt pause on August 27 as Players boycotted playoff games in protest of the shooting of Jacob Blake by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The games were postponed by three days while the league and players’ association formulated a response. The result was an agreement to form a coalition for social justice with coaches and owners, and to convert arenas into polling stations for the people 2020 election.

After the heat eliminated the bucks on Tuesday evening and hit their ticket to the conference finals, there is only one game on Thursday evening, the Lakers against the Rockets. Los Angeles are 2-1

ahead after impressive performances from LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo led the Lakers to a 112-102 win on Tuesday.

Here is the schedule for Thursday September 10th:

  • Los Angeles Lakers v Houston Rockets (Los Angeles leads 2-1), 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) on TNT

Where do the games take place?

Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex will be home to NBA action.

The NBA uses three different venues on the ESPN Wide World of Sports campus: the HP Field House, the Visa Athletic Center, and a location that Disney calls The Arena.

HP Field House previously hosted an NCAA Division I basketball tournament for men called the Orlando Invitational. The next tournament with Auburn, Michigan State and Gonzaga is currently taking place on Thanksgiving weekend.

Where are the players? What do you do when you are not playing?

The players, team members and their staff and families are spread across three different Disney properties: the Grand Destino, the Grand Floridian and the Yacht Club.

Hotels are sorted by team leaderboard, with top seeds like the Bucks, Lakers, Raptors and Clippers staying at Grand Destino, which opened last year. Teams that were in the playoff bubble – like the blazers – stayed at the Disney Yacht Club.

As Stadium and The Athletic’s Shams Charania notes, when players are not playing, they can participate in other games, attend film screenings and play video games, as well as use pools, trails, hairdressers, manicurists and pedicurists.

Table tennis is also available, but only single games. Doubles are not allowed to maintain social distance, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski pointed out.
