As you might expect from an early announcement, little else is known about the project, but it seems different from another Netflix company with Resident Evil flavor that focuses on kids with a very familiar last name.

“If the Wesker children move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover may be the end of it all,”

; Netflix said in the description of the series at the time. “Resident Evil, a new live-action series based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix.”

ICYMI, Resident Evil Village – that’s Resident Evil 8 – seems to be appearing on current generation consoles too, although the new horror episode will be released as a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S game.

During a presentation on the Tokyo Games Show this weekend, producer Tsuyoshi Kanda said Capcom would “do our best” to make PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions as well.
