New Leaks Claim Pixel 5 launches at around $ 990 with a new Sage Green Paint job

Ahead of Google’s Launch Night for the next week, it all seems to have leaked, and after numerous sightings of Google’s new smart speaker and Chromecast dongle, new information about the Pixel 5 has surfaced.

While much of the Pixel 5’s design and expected specs have been detailed in previous reports, Roland Quandt has released a new leak that appears to be an official promotional image featuring the upcoming Nest Audio speaker, Chromecast with Google TV, and the Pixel 5 in a new shows sage green color. Previous leaks only mentioned that the Pixel 5 comes in two colors (black and white). So the look and feel of this new shade of sage green could mean that the Pixel 5 offers more variety than expected.

More importantly, however, according to information from Jon Prosser, a 1

28GB Pixel 5 will be priced at $ 700 ($ 992), although it is currently unclear if that will be the starting price for the Pixel 5, as in the last year for Pixel 4 will come with a cheaper 64 GB storage option.

In addition to Prosser’s number, well-known leaker Evan Blass posted on Twitter that the Canadian price for the Pixel 5 will be $ 800 for 128GB of storage, which if converted would bring the Pixel 5 closer to $ 850. However, Blass mentioned that direct conversions from one currency to another can often result in inaccurate prices. In either case, however, it is almost certainly a Pixel 5 landing, priced between $ 850 and $ 990.

The pricing of the Pixel 5 will be crucial if Google is looking to move a significant number of phones, especially since Samsung just announced the $ 999 Galaxy S20 FE. Compared to the Pixel 5 rumors, which include a Snapdragon 765 processor, 90Hz display, and just two rear cameras, the Galaxy S20 FE looks like the faster, more powerful phone in almost every way.

In the past, many have accused Google’s Pixel phones of being slightly overpriced at launch. Google’s habit of discounting new Pixel phones just a few months (or less) after they were released has only added fuel to that perception. So, if Google really wants to get people’s attention, the Pixel 5 has to be priced at $ 920 or less.

But who knows, Google may have a few more surprises in store for the Pixel 5’s official debut next week. So check back on October 1st for more information and impressions.
