New Realme smartphone series teased by Executive, possibly with a Snapdragon 875 SoC

Realme may be working on a new smartphone with the Snapdragon 875 SoC. Xu Qi Chase, president of global marketing and vice president at Realme, teased the arrival of a new series. He didn’t offer a timeline for the launch, but did note that the upcoming phone will be powered by a 5nm flagship chipset, which is likely to be the upcoming Snapdragon 875 SoC. The current Snapdragon 865 SoC series is based on the 7 nm FinFET process.

Chase went to Weibo to share a new poster on the major series announced by Realme, including the Q-Series, V-Series, and X-Series. The poster points to a new line of smartphones, and Chase writes that the new smartphone will include a 5nm flagship processor. He’s probably talking about the unannounced Snapdragon 875 SoC, which should be based on a 5nm process, since the Snapdragon 865 SoC is based on a 7nm process. At this point, however, it is only an educated guess as the company has not provided any details.

The same poster has been leaked in the past claiming that Oppo is discontinuing its Ace series after only two phones were launched in it. In return, Realme will try to introduce similar Ace-like high-performance phones in a new line of smartphones. The branding of this series is not yet known, nor is there any information about the start timeline.

The previous report also suggests that this series phone will have 1

25W fast charge support recently introduced by Oppo. The company claims this fast-charging technology can charge a 4,000 mAh battery to 41 percent in just five minutes and fully charge it in 20 minutes.
