Popular esports company NODWIN Gaming announced the Northeast Esports Summit on Wednesday. The event will come with a pool price of Rs 3.5 lakh with players playing famous titles such as clash of clans and Free fire. Registrations for the tournament opened on October 1
Akshat Rathee, MD and Co-Founder of NODWIN Gaming said, “Northeast India has been a remarkable region in the Indian esports community that has shown constant growth over time.”
He praised the players for the eight states’ undying passion for the game and their humble demeanor. “With the Northeast Esports Summit we want to bring out the Northeast as a key region for esports in the country. The Northeast is an important region for Indian sport as it has enormous potential in terms of playing talent, ”he continued.
The tournament is divided into two phases, the online qualification and the grand final. Both stages have four online qualifiers each. Specifying the rules of the summit, the company announced that the top teams of each qualifying game will automatically advance to the grand finale, which will take place on December 5 and 6, 2020.
The company makes it clear that the tournament is strictly limited to residents of the northeastern states. The event is sponsored by the Airtel India Esports Tour. Interested parties could watch the live broadcast of the games on Airtel’s platform for digital content Airtel Xstream.
