Microsoft software is experiencing a major outage around the world as thousands of Australians who work from home cannot access programs while the problems persist.
The big tech company confirmed via Twitter that Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook and One Drive, have experienced delays and outages.
The shutdowns are affecting Australia and the United States.
An improvement in several services was noted in a tweet at 10:40 a.m.
Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane see the biggest impact, according to Downdetector.com.
Twitter users have flooded the social media platform with reactions to the server fallout that has affected millions of users.

“We are investigating a problem that affects access to several Microsoft 365 services,” said the company on Twitter.
“We are working to determine the full impact and will provide more information shortly.”
Microsoft Office and Exchange are also affected.
The company said the outage was due to issues with software updates.
“We’re redirecting traffic to alternative infrastructure to improve the user experience while we investigate further,” the company said.
