OnePlus 7T Pro against Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus

2019 was the first year that OnePlus truly designed phones to compete with the best flagships in the world, first with the OnePlus 7 Pro and now with the OnePlus 7T Pro.

It's not a big upgrade for the 7 Pro, but it's an upgrade that makes OnePlus the highest quality phone, and its clearest competitor is the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.

Samsung's cell phone is a bit older and will be released in early 2019. The most successful Android flagships ranked on our list of the best cell phones. Does the OnePlus 7T Pro have what it takes to compete? Keep reading to get a clearer idea.

The OnePlus 7T Pro features a curved 6.67- 516-pixel-per-inch (1440×320) inch screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. It uses Fluid AMOLED, supports HDR10 +, and has a refresh rate of 90Hz.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, on the other hand, has a curved 6.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 at 522 pixels per inch and an aspect ratio of 19: 9. This phone uses Dynamic AMOLED and also supports HDR10 +, but only has a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

This refresh rate is one of the main differences between the two phones. This means that animations and interactions with the OnePlus 7T Pro should feel a little smoother, resulting in lower battery life (but the refresh rate can be switched to 60Hz if you prefer).

In most other ways, these two phones have similar screens, although the OnePlus 7T Pro is slightly larger.

The Samsung may look a bit better in the meantime – we've won I can not say for sure until we've completely tested the OnePlus 7T Pro, but Samsung's flagship screens are usually among the best for the visual Quality, and the Galaxy S10 Plus is no exception.

Both the OnePlus 7T Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus are curved Screens, metal frames and glass backs. So there is a lot of similarity in their designs.

There are some big differences as well. For one, the OnePlus 7T Pro has an all-screen front, which is achieved by choosing a selfie pop-up camera (more on that below). The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has a hole for the camera in the upper right corner of the display.

The Samsung phone also has a different arrangement of cameras on the back, with the lenses arranged horizontally. The OnePlus 7T Pro has a vertical arrangement.

Most other differences are smaller. For example, the 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8mm and 206g OnePlus 7T Pro is available while the Galaxy S10 Plus is 157.6 x 74.1 x 7.8mm and 175g smaller and lighter in width Color spectrum, while the OnePlus 7T Pro is only available in Haze Blue.

Finally, it should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has an official water resistance that the OnePlus 7T Pro does not have.

Megapixels have similar settings, albeit with the OnePlus 7T Pro, providing greater optical zoom, while the S10 Plus has a wider field of view can use. The video capabilities on the paper are also similar – both can shoot up to 60 frames per second in up to 4K quality and 720p slow motion video at up to 960 frames per second or 1080p video at 240 fps.

Larger Differences Can Be Recognized on the Front Cameras with Face Detection: While the OnePlus 7T Pro only has a 16MP / 2.0 lens, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has both a 10MP / 1.9-inch lens as well via an 8MP / 2.2 depth sensor. On paper, the Samsung setup sounds more impressive, but in our review we were not convinced of the need for two lenses.
