The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is an important moment for foldable phones and for Samsung: after the shaky start of the new category last year with the Galaxy Fold, this second-generation foldable model has to prove that the format is worth it.
We’ve used the Galaxy Z Fold 2 for the past week, and we can safely say that Samsung has achieved everything it had to do with this second-generation Fold: it feels a lot better since the hinge is now enormous Improvements have been made to be extremely reliable, but also for the outer screen, which is now larger and much more user-friendly. Interestingly, while a phone that transforms into a tablet also offers a much richer and more rewarding mobile experience, opening it frequently may not be convenient everywhere either, especially when you̵
While it may feel a little strange at first, the Z Fold 2 is easy to get used to. And Samsung did an excellent job with multitasking. It’s so easy to split-screen apps, and you can run them up to three times at a time. And this time there is no Exynos version, it’s all Snapdragon all over the world and what a difference it makes. Everything works without stuttering.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is finally bringing foldable phones into prime time. It costs $ 2,000, but if you are planning on using it then you should definitely consider it.
We also ran our battery life test and it’s not surprising that the large screen inside is using a lot of power. If you plan to use it frequently, you may need to charge it before the end of the day.
However, if you are using the main screen in combination with the outside screen, expect the phone to last a full day, which is definitely good enough. Are you as excited as we are about this new foldable form factor? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
